Summer may be coming soon, however Disney World is already thinking about fall and Halloween — and you should, too. if your holiday falls between August and November. The Disney World vacation planning timeline is unlike any other destination, with dining reservations, separately ticketed events, and strategic itineraries to consider.
Disney World’s two signature fall events, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT Food and Wine Festivalwill return in 2026. Both are great additions and enhancements for a late summer or early fall getaway. Be sure to write these dates into your calendar if you plan to attend!
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party returns in August
As is custom at Disney World, Halloween starts early — depending on where you live, it starts while the kids are still on summer vacation! This year is no different, with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party held its first event on August 7th.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an after-hours event that takes place at Magic Kingdom on select nights in August, September, and October. He Disney World’s signature Halloween event it happened after the park closed to regular guests (the Magic Kingdom closed several hours earlier than usual on party nights).
A separate admission ticket is required to attend, and partygoers can enjoy it shorter waiting times for rides, special character meet and greets (watch out for Disney villains and characters wearing Halloween costumes!), and exclusive entertainment. Guests are encouraged to do so wearing their own costumes for these occasions, and there are many trick-or-treat trail to buy Halloween candy.
The following is the complete list of event dates for 2026:
- August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
- September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
- October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
Each party starts at 19.00 and ends at 00.00 midnight. Ticket holders can enter the Magic Kingdom from 4pm on the day of the partygiving families eight hours to enjoy the park.

Tickets and event details for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Interested in attending? Tickets for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party are on sale May 5 for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. Tickets go on sale May 12 for all other guests.
Return entertainment included Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade (taking place at 20:15) and Hocus Pocus Villain Spell, a fan-favorite stage show that takes place in front of Cinderella Castle featuring Winifred, Sarah, and Mary from ‘Hocus Pocus.’ Disney Isn’t So Spectacularly Spooky Fireworks shows also take place at every party.
That Corpse Enters — a Halloween-themed spin on Main Street USA a capella quartet Dapper Dans — will return as exclusive party entertainment. New this year is an “ever-changing dance party” with Stitch at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
Characters meet and greet only for party attendees will also be on deck, including the return Jack Skellington and Sally. We will also see “new and returning Disney villains,” which is sure to be a big draw for attendees. A complete character guide will be released by Disney closer to the party date.

2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival dates announced
More fall-centric activities will return in August with the start of the fall season EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. This festival will be available every day starting August 27 to November 21. The dates for 2026 are trending with what we have seen in recent years.
The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is one of four culinary festivals held in EPCOT throughout the year. Typically offered starting in late summer and lasting until just before Thanksgiving, the Food and Wine Festival is chief among them, since 1996.
Food and Wine Festivals are famous for that Bite-sized menu items are available for purchase at festival kiosks around EPCOT (mostly concentrated in World Showcase). Inspired by culinary traditions around the world, this is a great way to snack and enjoy food throughout the park. A complete foodie guide will be available closer to the start of the festival.
This festival also includes Eat to the Beat Concert Series takes place at the American Adventure Pavilion. The concert is included in EPCOT theme park admission with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want a guaranteed seat, you can book a meal plan it includes lunch or dinner at a participating EPCOT restaurant. A complete list of concert acts and associated dates will be announced at a later date.
Other returning activities during the festival include Montage Fromage Emilea cheese food crawl where you collect stamps at certain food stalls to exchange for festival treats upon completion. Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt is also back, providing guests of all ages with exciting activities with mementos awaiting those who complete the challenges.
