7 character restaurants featuring Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World


No trip to Walt Disney World is complete without saying hello to the character who started it all, Mickey Mouse. There is a a number of different ways to meet Mickey; in fact, Disney World will make sure that if you want to take a photo with it, you can – in some cases, you don’t even need a park ticket. If you don’t like waiting in long lines, many of the character dining restaurants around Disney World include Mickey Mouse.

Character dining is a great way to meet a variety of charactersfrom the classic Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald) to Disney Princesses. Most of the character dining options are buffet or family style dining, caters to families where everyone can find something to enjoy. Not just eating with character eliminating the need to stand in long lines to meet the characters, but it’s also a great way to do it meet them in unique and fun outfits designed specifically for the restaurant’s theme.

If you want to cross off several items on your Disney World to-do list at once (like breakfast and meeting Mickey Mouse), consider booking an Advance Dining Reservation at one of these restaurants.

Chef Mickey’s – Disney Contemporary Resort

There are only a few iconic Disney World restaurants Chef Mickey. Almost a rite of passage to take your kids here on their first Disney World vacation. This buffet style restaurant is located in the main building at Disney Contemporary Resort. Watch the Monorail pass overhead as you meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy dressed as chefs. It’s the only restaurant on Disney World property where you can meet the Fab 5 in one place!

‘Ohana – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, ‘Ohana is one of the most sought after Dining Reservations at Disney World. If this is on your to-do list, book a reservation here while your 60-day window opens. Note that characters (including Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch) are only available during Best Friends Breakfast.

Dining experience: Family-style, American and Polynesian cuisine

Park Grill – EPCOT

While most EPCOT restaurant found in World Showcase, there are some great finds in the “front” of the park. Especially, Garden Grill is a fan favorite located in the Land Pavilion. That slow-turning restaurant comes with a sneak peek of the Living With the Land attraction below as well as a visit from Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. No matter what meal you choose, you may find a new favorite restaurant at Garden Grill.

Topolino Terrace – Disney’s Riviera Resort

Named after Mickey Mouse in Italian, Topolino Terrace can be found on the top floor Disney’s Riviera Resort. The restaurant has sweeping views of the surrounding resort area, and the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy) wear adorable artist outfits for “Art style breakfast.”

Dining experience: Prix fixe, American cuisine (note that dinner serves French and Italian cuisine)

Food is served: Breakfast (character does not appear for dinner)

Tusker House – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Enter Disney’s Animal Kingdomyou will find it one of the best character dining spots on Disney World property on Elephant House! This character buffet has an excellent selection breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not only that, the characters (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy) are all dressed up adorable safari outfit.

Dining experience: Buffet, American and African cuisine

Food is served: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Hollywood & Vine – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to several highly themed table service restaurants, including Hollywood & Wine. Nowadays, Mickey, Minnie, and friends appear at Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. In the past, Disney Junior characters even appeared at breakfast, so be sure to check before your trip for the most up-to-date information. That’s when the restaurant changed several times a year to Minnie’s Seasonal Eats. The restaurant, along with the characters’ outfits, takes on a new theme each season.

Dining experience: Buffet, American cuisine

Food is served: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Mickey’s Outfit: Seasonal clothing (Halloween costumes in the fall, Christmas themed clothing during the holidays, etc.). Here’s a list of themed seasonal dining as of December 2025:

  • Holiday Dinner: November 5, 2025 to January 4, 2026
  • Silver Screen Dinner: January 5, 2026 to March 10, 2026
  • Spring is Yours: March 11, 2026 to May 20, 2026
  • Summer Dinner: Starting May 21, 2026

Ravello – Orlando’s Four Seasons Resort

The final character dining option featuring Mickey is a little more exclusive than the others, but only because it’s off the beaten track and only offered a few mornings a week. If you haven’t noticed, there is a Four Seasons Resort found on Disney World property, and each Thursday and Saturday, on-site restaurant Ravello host Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & his friendsincluding Mickey! Like every Disney World Resort hotel, you don’t have to be an overnight guest to dine here – the public is welcome!

Dining Experience: Prix fixe, standard breakfast cuisine (dinner features Italian cuisine)

Food is served: Breakfast (Thursday and Saturday mornings only. Certain Tuesdays may be available during peak season. Characters do not appear for lunch or dinner or other days of the week).
